After 1949, the Shanghai-style culture suffered heavy losses, and a large number of historical relics and architectural books were burned and disappeared. Among them, the protection of Shanghai dialect (Shanghai dialect) is the most urgent. It is rare for Shanghainese born after 1990 to be able to use Shanghai dialect fluently. Protecting Shanghai culture has become an inescapable common mission of Shanghai people at home and abroad.
1949年之後海派文化遭受重創，大量歷史文物建築書籍被焚毀消失。其中以上海話（滬語）的保護最為緊迫，1990年後出生的上海人能夠流利使用滬語的已是鳳毛麟角。保護上海文化成為海內外上海人不可推卸的共同使命。
The closure of the city since April 2022 has raised the issue of human rights in Shanghai to an unprecedented height. The human rights of 26 million Shanghai citizens have been violated to varying degrees, and humanitarian disasters have occurred frequently. Nearly 1,000 people lost their lives as a result. It is the necessary task of the Association to pay attention to and collect information on human rights in Shanghai, and report the human rights situation in Shanghai to the Shanghai people and the international community.
起自2022年4月的封城把上海人權問題上升到到一個前所未有的高度，2600萬上海市民的人權受到不同程度的侵犯，人道災難頻發，近千人因此失去生命。關注和收集上海人權信息，向上海民眾和國際社會報告上海人權狀況，是本協會的必要任務。

和平飯店（北樓）
The Cathay Hotel (Shanghainese: Wubin Vaedi) was designed by architects Palmer and Turner, with a reinforced concrete structure. Construction began in 1926, and was completed in 1929.
